Stitches are typically removed 7–14 days after injury by a healthcare professional using sterile tweezers and scissors to cut and pull out sutures without dragging external thread through the skin. While sometimes done at home with a kit, professional removal is recommended to prevent infection, scarring, or wound dehiscence. Confirm the healthcare provider's order for removal. The base fee for the visit is ₹60, which covers the clinical setup and professional consultation. In addition to this service charge, there is a per-stitch fee of ₹20 for the actual removal.
